VAT – the Basics. E-Learning on Value Added Tax (VAT)
Online course on the key principles of the European VAT Law. Identical with our “VAT Online course – Basic training” (E-Learning with certificate) – but without a final test and certificate
What is the content of this online course?
“VAT – the Basics E-Learning” – This online course explains the basic rules of the European VAT Law (EU Directive 2006/112/EC) as regards the
- taxation of supplies of goods and services,
- EU invoicing rules,
- VAT payment obligations,
- filing of tax returns, and
- claim back of input VAT and the basics of the VAT refund respectively.
The VAT E-Learning covers both B2B and B2C constellations and focuses on the VAT principles for cross-border transactions. It is structured as a dialogue between new-business founder Knut and his tax consultant friend Lisa. Thereby, Lisa explains to Knut (and you) the relevant rules by simple explanations. Furthermore, you will find several example cases on the single topics which you have to solve in interactive quizzes. In addition, you receive a comprehensive training material which includes further background information, overviews and simplified decision trees.
After completion of the VAT Online course, you will have a good understanding of the principles of the EU VAT Law. As a result, you will particularly be able to avoid some typical general “VAT traps” and to improve the VAT cash flow management. As the E-Learning only covers the EU VAT Law from a broader perspective and is purposely designed as a short introduction training, it can however not explain national specifications and derogations or provide solutions for an individual case.
Status of the E-Learning
The E-Learning covers the legal status per 01.07.2020. It particularly considers the so-called VAT Quick fixes.
